About the Jungle Lodge
AMAZON ECOPARK Jungle Lodge is a touristic, scientific and educational property, created and directed by a private initiative back in 1991, opening its doors to the public as an Ecotourism Lodge in 1995. Several streams of clear water run through the area. Over 6 miles of jungle trails including un-catalogued species, natural savannahs and creeks enable clients to explore the jungle, observe orchids and giant trees.
Within the Lodge area you will enjoy the natural pools, reading and quite room with hammocks; gift shop, bar, restaurant and a private river beach (depending on river water levels).

Location
Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge privileged location only 1/2 an hour from the Manaus (Capital of the state of Amazonas) and the International Airport,.
Yet still in very preserved dense forest this unique combination of 100% nature with close access makes the lodge an important option to everyone visiting Manaus.

 

 

 

Rooms facilities
Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge has 60 apartments distributed in 20 bungalows. Each unit has three apartments, made of concrete and wood. Each room with independent entrance, porches and bathrooms, all with air conditioning, electric showers and screened windows. The bungalows, although rustic, are pleasantly decorated and provide much comfort (night light, carpet, indigenous decorative objects, etc.)

 

PROGRAM

1 Day - Manaus / Amazon Rainforest
Arrival in the city of Manaus (flight not included *)

Meet local guide (Pick-up at Manaus airport at 13h30) and transfer to the Ceasa Docks.  Board our regional boat, accommodate and start to navigate in the Amazon River passing by the Meeting of the Waters. 
Continue on boat to the  Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge.
Arrival at the lodge, reception and check in while tasting a local fruit juice. 
Proceed to room and rest of the afternoon at leisure. 


Evening dinner followed by a canoe tour with opportunity to observe Alligators with flashlight spotting.
Overnight at the lodge.

2 Day - Amazon Rainforest
Breakfast  followed by Nature-Hike in the surrounding area to observe local flora and fauna.  Return to the Amazon Ecopark lodge for a regional lunch. 
After a short rest, visit to the home of local Amazonian residents (Caboclos).
Return to the lodge for evening dinner. Overnight at the lodge.

 

3 Day - Amazon Rainforest / Manaus
Breakfast followed by a educational visit to the Monkey Jungle. 
Return to the lodge.
Check-out at 11h30 followed by boat transfer to Manaus and land transfer to airport.

What to bring:
Although the climate is considered hot and damp all year round (about 80 to 85 Fahrenheit), it can be surprisingly cool at night in the jungle or on the river. Most of the time, passengers will find themselves wearing light clothing such as T-shirts, shorts, bathing suit and sandals, but for the hikes in the forest they should also have a long sleeved shirt, long trousers, light coat, good closed footwear such as high tennis shoes or hiking boots, small flashlight, binoculars, and personal effects.

Luggage: For safety reasons and guests comfort inside the boat and at the lodge, the big bags will be kept in the lodge deposit in Manaus and will be returned when they are back to the city. The guests will be allowed to carry a hand bag only with the necessary for their stay in the Amazon Forest.

General conditions:

1. The mentioned rates are per person and valid until December'2007.
2. This package is not valid during Christmas, New Years, Carnival and Holidays.
3. The activities described may be altered due to weather conditions, season or group make-up with the intent of maximizing your experience of the eco-system.
4. If you have extra luggage left in Manaus, please keep your guide informed when of your transfer to the lodge.
5. At the Jungle Lodge, the following credit cards will be accepted:  visa, master, amex, dinners.
6. All services are on regular basis.  Please consult for private services rates.

Bookings will only be considered confirmed after we have received full payment of package.
Credit cards accepted:  diners or master

Cancellations:
accepted only until 20 days prior to beginning of tour - cancellation penalty of US$ 100.00 per person will apply to cover handling costs. 
Any cancellation from 19 days to arrival date is subject to penalty of full amount of package.  Non refundable.
